Herman Lensing
Herman Lensing is an award-winning South African food writer and one of the country’s top food personalities.
After qualifying as a chef at the Institute of Culinary Arts in Stellenbosch, he first stepped into the spotlight in 2009 when, at only 22, he was appointed food editor of the glossy magazine SARIE. In addition to being the long-time editor of SARIE KOS, Herman has published several standalone food magazines for Media24 under his name.
He is the author of multiple bestselling cookbooks, and he has appeared in numerous TV series and shows on channels like kykNET and VIA.
In 2021, he expanded his influence by working behind the scenes as a food producer for MasterChef South Africa, a role he also holds for kykNET’s Kokkedoor Vuur & Vlam series.
