Hendrik Hancke

Hendrik Hancke is a journalist at the Sunday Times in Johannesburg. In a previous life, he was a performing poet, playwright and artist manager.

Hendrik worked for several years at Rapport, where in 2017 he won two Legend24 awards for investigative journalist of the year and feature writer of the year. He also got his first taste of sports writing at Rapport by penning several sports features.
For as long as he can remember, he’s been a huge fan of rugby.
