Benjamin Pogrund

Benjamin Pogrund, former Editor of the Rand Daily Mail in Johannesburg, relocated to Britain after the newspaper closed down. He specialised in world news and worked in the foreign departments of such newspapers as the Independent in London. He appeared frequently on television and radio as a commentator during the final struggled of democracy in South Africa.

Since 1997, he has lived in Israel. He writes about the Middle East and South Africa for publications including Ha’aretz, and The Guardian.
