Kitty Kelley
Born in Spokane, Washington in 1942, Kitty Kelley received a B.A. in English from the University of Washington. She worked at the New York World's Fair in 1964 and went on to become a receptionist for Senator Eugene McCarthy. Once in Washington D.C., Kelley became a freelance journalist writing for publications such as The Washington Star. She is now the author of several best-selling, unauthorised biographies of celebrities and politicians. She has been honoured with many awards for her tell-all style of writing including being selected as a member of Vanity Fair magazine’s Hall of Fame. Her articles have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, People, Ladies’ Home Journal, McCall’s, the Los Angeles Times, and the Chicago Tribune. Subjects have included Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Reagan, the British Royal Family, the Bush family and now she is also the author of Oprah: A Biography – a tell-all biography on Oprah Winfrey.
