The dictionary consists of two English and Afrikaans word lists bound into one handy volume, with their inverse juxtapositions providing each of the books with equal recognition and prominence. The words are dealt with in English, Afrikaans, Xhosa, Zulu, Northern Sotho, Southern Sotho and Tswana, in such a way as to require no specialised knowledge of the languages to be able to make use of the dictionary.
