TV Bulpin
Thomas Victor Bulpin, born 1918 in Umkomaas, Kwazulu Natal was a South African writer about African big game hunters, South African travel and history. He was a man of enormous talent and intellect, and a prolific writer. During his lifetime, he produced 29 books and over 2000 booklets, pamphlets, newspapers and magazine features, and travel videos, becoming the Doyen of African travel writers and a legend in his own lifetime. Tom had a great love for his country and diversity of cultures. At 16 he entered the cinema business as a technician, later enlisting with the SA Air force. On his return he joined the Associated British Cinema Corporation before being sent to cover Africa for their news reels. While traveling, he gathered information for his books. Later however, due to his dislike of being edited, he began his own publishing company and focused on this and his travels until his death in 1999 following a long battle with skin cancer. TV Bulpin is the author of Discovering Southern Africa and Tavern of the Seas. Extras Reviews, News & Interviews: |
